The initiative "Art with those who are part of it" of
the Piedmont Museum Subscription makes a stop at the Civic Museum of
Palazzo Traversa, a tour to discover the collections of Piedmontese and
Valle d'Aosta museums guided by the perspective, the voices and the most
curious stories of their protagonists.
The Braid stage of the
initiative, included in the Grand Tour, will start from Turin on
Saturday 16 October: we will go in the footsteps of the historian
Edoardo Mosca through a visit to the collections of the Museum of
History, Art and Archeology, which preserves important historical and
works of art dated between the '600 and' 900.
For the occasion, the
dioramas created by Moscow will also be exhibited for a few weeks on the
noble floor of Palazzo Traversa, which reconstruct war scenes from
various historical spheres and eras, as well as examples of military
figures made by the glassmaker from Altare (SV) Amanzio Bormioli on the
basis of the drawings of Mosca himself, an expert in uniformology.
On
the Piemonte Abbonato Musei website it is already possible to listen to
a podcast dedicated to an in-depth study of the figure of Edoardo Mosca
and the collections of the Palazzo Traversa Museum, at the link: https://piemonte.abbonamentomusei.it/News/L-arte-con-chi-ne-fa-parte.
More details on the Grand Tour of October 16, which in addition to the
Museum in via Parpera will touch Pollenzo, Bene Vagienna and the
archaeological museum housed in Palazzo Lucerna in Rorà, on the
organizers' website: https://piemonte.abbonamentomusei.it/Mostre-e-Attivita/Palazzo-Traversa-Bra-Edoardo-Mosca.
This
is a further initiative of Palazzo Traversa to enhance and remember the
work of Moscow, including the title of the archaeological section, the
republication in a single volume, in collaboration with the Friends of
the Museums Association, of the articles with an archaeological theme
and transcriptions of passages from the eighteenth-century manuscript of
Dr. Vorgalle, the exhibition focused on the collections of toy soldiers
and the exhibition (with relative catalog) dedicated to his figure in
the round: the stages of his life and career, his drawings and
photographs made available by the family. (em)
