FAMU: a host of free activities in Bra’s museums

Sunday, October 11, 2026, marks the National Day of Families at the Museum (FAMU). To celebrate the occasion, Bra’s museums are offering various free workshops and activities, alongside the opportunity to visit their collections and exhibition displays. The “Craveri” Civic Museum of Natural History is hosting a workshop titled “Natural-born Collectors” (*Collezionisti per natura*), led by Milena Bellonotto. There are two sessions—from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM—and reservations are required by calling 0172.412010.
The Palazzo Traversa Civic Museum of Art, History, and Archaeology is participating in the event with an educational workshop for children aged 6 to 12 and their families, titled “Pocket-sized Wonders: Create Your Own Small Collection.” The session runs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM; reservations are mandatory via email at traversa@comune.bra.cn.it. Space is limited (maximum 20 participants).
In addition to its regular guided tours—held at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM, and 4:30 PM with no reservation required—the Toy Museum is organizing a slot car event in the conference room of the Arpino Multipurpose Center at Largo della Resistenza. Throughout the day, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, visitors can try their hand at racing electric slot cars provided by the museum.
The Zizzola Museum will be open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Until October 25, the premises are hosting the exhibition “Ricordé.” “An Archive, a Town, a Photo Exhibition”—an event that reconstructs the Bra of the past using over 30,000 images from the Studio Bruno Risso photographic archive.
Additionally, in Largo della Resistenza, children can enjoy themselves from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with the *Ludobus* and *Giracolore* activities, as well as a spin-art workshop. Older children and adults can try their hand at chess and checkers, thanks to a collaboration with the “Il Posto degli Scacchi ASD” association and the “Circolo Damistico Braidese F. Bartoloni.” All activities and visits are free of charge. Further information is available at www.museidibra.it.
