Also this year the museums of Bra offer a series of Christmas-themed workshops dedicated to the youngest (from 6 to 11 years old), opportunities to spend time in joy and at the same time learn how to carry out useful and fun activities.
It starts on Sunday 12 December 2021 at the Archaeological Museum of Palazzo Traversa, where from 3 to 5 pm the young participants and their companions will learn how to create splendid "Pop-up Greeting Cards" (cost 5 euros, free for the accompanying person. Reservation required by on 9 December by calling 0172-423880).
On December 17th it will be the turn of the Craveri Museum to organize a "Christmas treasure hunt": it is a workshop that will teach how to make Christmas decorations with recycled material (hours: 16.45 / 18.30, cost 3 euros per child. Reservation required at 0172-412010 or by writing to craveri@comune.bra.cn.it).
Two days after the appointment will be at the Toy Museum, where a special visit will be held on Friday 19 December - some toys from the collection will be an opportunity to narrate traditions and habits of the past linked to Christmas and winter holidays in our area - followed by a workshop in which personal Christmas decorations will be made with natural and waste materials. Also in this case to participate in the initiatives (from 10 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 17.30) it is necessary to book by calling 0172.413049 or writing to biblioteca@comune.bra.cn.it. Cost 5 euros.
The program includes two more appointments at Palazzo Traversa on 27 and 28 December: the first will be dedicated to the Nativity scene, while the second to the Befana. Both take place from 8.30 to 12.30, cost 5 euros, reservations required by 23 December at 0172-423880 (there is no accompanying adult). The first days of 2022 will still offer two unmissable opportunities: Tuesday 4 January from 4.45 pm to 6.30 pm the new year will begin with recycling, a creative workshop that involves the use of recycled material (cost 3 euros, booking required at 0172 -412010, mail craveri@comune.bra.cn.it), while on 6 January the Befana herself will be the tour guide who will accompany young visitors on a tour of the Toy Museum. At the end of the visit, children and adults will be guided in the construction of a toy with natural and recycled materials (cost 5 euros, reservations required at 0172.413049, mail biblioteca@comune.bra.cn.it.
